Dreicor, Inc. is hiring Construction Safety Consultants nationwide. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving the safety programs for the job site. The Construction Safety Consultant will have a broad knowledge of Safety compliance programs and, where required, Safety specialty areas. This role includes strategic safety planning, training personnel, identifying hazards, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to, and implementing best practices.

This is a contract position for 60+ hours per week, with per-diem.

This position requires 100% travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and submit local, State and other required regulatory reports, ensuring site safety regulatory compliance.
  • Review and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, non-injury accidents, and near-misses to ensure that investigations and mitigations are effective and that they identify and resolve root causes. Lead investigations into serious adverse events. Monitor and analyze safety performance and initiate action to support or correct trends.
  • Present and review findings from investigations with customers, including steps to mitigate future occurrences of accidents or injuries.
  • Provide timely, high-quality safety technical support/training. Design, conduct, and oversee Safety training.
  • Carry out regular workplace inspections to monitor compliance with site rules, procedures, etc. Develop and manage an internal audit program to assess compliance with legal and company requirements and identify opportunities for improvement .
  • Coordinate the completion of job safety analyses and risk assessments.
  • Establish site Safety policies, objectives, key performance indicators, and targets that reflect local needs and alignment with the Client’s long-term safety strategy. Establish a program to manage the site’s different safety risks and impacts, coordinated within an overall safety management system.
  • Champion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in Safety related activities.
  • Develop Job Hazard Assessments and other work permits and coordinate with customers for administration and approval.
  • Conduct employee and visitor training in accordance with the site safety program.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)

Professional Credential (CIH, CSP, CHST)

EXPERIENCE:

2+ Years of Industrial Construction Safety

Project Controls experience is a benefit, including project planning, scheduling,

recruiting, accounting, etc. Additional consideration will be given to candidates that have experience handling other project management tasks and services.
